1912 T202 Hassan Triple Folders Mailday
Wednesday welcomed in another vintage Mailday. Four pre-war cards arrived from the same eBay seller I purchased my "white whale," recently (more on that later).
The initial sale was the result of eBay's 15% off purchases above $50. Over the weekend, eBay tossed up an 8% eBay bucks campaign, so I utilized that deal to pick up four cards.
These cards are from the 1912 T202 Hassan Triple Folder set. Eventually, I would like to track down a complete triple folder. Here's what they look like complete.

From the above completed triple folder, both the Jimmy Sheckard and Frank Schulte end panels were among my purchases. Sheckard was a member of the Cubs from 1906 to 1912, and was a member of both Cubs World Series championships of 1907 and 1908.Â

Frank Schulte had a 14-year Major League Baseball career in which he spent the first 12 seasons with the Cubs. He led the league in home runs in 1910 and 1911.

Bill Foxen had a much less memorable career than Schulte and Sheckard. He spent the 1910 and 1911 seasons with the Cubs, his last in Major League Baseball.

Even more obscure is John Rowan. He played just one game for the Cubs. Rowan pitched two innings in a game in 1911.Â

Next up: I'll be visiting Club 400 to meet Javier Baez. I was at Club 400 in January for an event with Bill Buckner and Ray Burris. I'll take better pictures this time with a full review!Â
