Largest Amount of Cards Dealt in a Trade Nets a Number of Cubs Hits
The largest amount of cards was sent out last week in exchange for some Cubs cards. In total, probably 5,000 or more cards were shipped out. In return I gained 133 Cubs cards....but not just any Cubs cards.
Look at the spread! Thanks to Cards From the Attic for the deal. He requested two large flat rate boxes of 1990's base cards. That's my wheel house.
There were many cards added to the collection not previously held. My favorite may be this vintage Oddball of Glenn Beckert (a Topps Scratch Off).
Another vintage Oddball came in form of a 1961 Post Jerry Kindall.
And to the now...Topps Now. I love these cards, but I never spring for them. Here's a 2017 Topps Now featuring six Cubs: Anthony Rizzo, Ian Happ, Kyle Schwarber, Kris Bryant, Javier Baez, and Willson Contreras.
I love this 2016 Gypsy Queen Addison Russell green 75/99.
A double dose of Jorge Soler. A 2016 Topps Finest 4/150.
And a 2016 Topps Strata jersey Relic 66/99.
Here's a dual relic and Auto of Arismendy Alcantara. It's numbered 89/99.
Billy Williams 2016 Topps Archives is 194/199.
Corey Black 2016 Bowman Chrome Auto.
And a 2016 Bowman Chrome Eddy Julio Martinez Auto.
Not too shabby for a few thousand junk era base cards. If anyone else would like to trade for flat rate boxes, I can put these together for baseball, football, basketball and hockey. Just offer me up a Cubs package and we can go from there.
