Flashing Back to the Cubs of your Childhood

Wednesday's mail brought a box of Cubs from Matthew in Grand Rapids, MI. If you were a child of the 1980's/early 1990's like myself, this was a gold mine of Cubs cards.

Two boxes were filled with Cubs cards from 1986 to 1992, all sorted by set, and even the big hitters were here. Like a pair of Greg Maddux rookie cards.

And four Mark Grace rookies.

Ryne Sandberg? Check! A total of 35 Sandberg cards are here.

Shawon Dunston was a fan favorite in this era of Cubs baseball, and I don't give him much love in this blog. Twenty-six Dunston cards are represented here.

Two oddball cards from 1988 Fleer Record Setters are new to my collection. Rick Sutcliffe and Andre Dawson.

More oddballs came in an envelope. They are the oversized Donruss cards. A Bill Buckner and Sandberg from 1984 and Jody Davis and Leon Durham from 1985.

Finally, these Fleer minis are new to my collection. They are from 1986 and 1988.

I'll be shipping out a box of Royals for Matthew.
