World Series Memories Wednesday

The office is brimming with baseball chatter. Brewers this. Brewers that. Baseball 2018 is in the rear view mirror for this Cubs fan. Only three years of great success has spoiled me.

While baseball is over for Cubs fans, the team is still really good, and we have happy memories. Two packages were in my mailbox today.

Package number one came from Mark in Memphis. This is our third trade, and with Mark I am able to rid my basement of creepy Cardinals. I'm happy to release the redbirds. This box included 146 Cubs cards with some celebratory Cubs cards. From 2017 Topps, it's a Memorable Moments Insert featuring a celebrating Anthony Rizzo upon winning the World Series with the Cubs.

Some 2017 Topps Heritage including "Cubs Fly the W."

And Javier Baez.

A couple of 80's oddballs of Ryne Sandberg and Andre Dawson.

And my favorite prospect of the 90's: Corey Patterson.

Sharon in Oklahoma sent a package of 30 Cubs. This is our third trade, also. I'll be sending Braves her way. I'm a big fan of these Panini Hometown Heroes. It's great because when products release retired Cubs it's typically the same old suspects like Sandberg, Dawson, Ernie Banks, Ron Santo, etc. not often are Shawon Dunston and Bill Buckner released in cards today.

And I'm sure I have this 2001 Upper Deck Chris Gissell somewhere in my collection, but it's one of those cards you look at and don't recognize having.

Thanks for the trades, and I'll be sending your packages out this week.
