Bowman Chrome Master Set, an Awesome TTM Return, and a Box of Junk Era
Monday was a mixed mail bag with three packages in total. In total, 608 cards were added to the Cubs collection, although the Mailday consisted of 612 cards.
That's because four were part of my collection that I sent off to Alfonso Soriano in a through the mail (TTM) autograph effort. After reading some Autograph forums it appeared Soriano has been very active in signing, and he is a signature that I'm missing in my collection.
Alfonso came through and signed all four cards, though one or maybe two of the cards were swapped out. The Allen & Ginter is a beauty signed.
A box of mostly junk era Cubs came from Steve in Tennessee. This is our third trade where we send mostly 1980's and 1990's to each other. He received a box of Boston Red Sox cards. There were 26 Ryne Sandberg cards inside.
Also a 2016 Topps Update Matt Szczur.
While I have plenty of this card it reminded me of Matt's Halloween tweet.
A card I didn't recognize was from the 100 Years of Wrigley Field set. It pictures six unnamed men carrying wheelbarrows at the ballpark.
Finally, a package came from Canada that I didn't know who the sender was. I went through both Twitter and Facebook to track down who it could have been. I then realized it was an eBay purchase of a 2018 Bowman Chrome master Cubs set. I had picked up a few of the cards, but was able to grab these nine cards for under $5 shipped.
The David Bote Arizona Fall League Insert is my favorite of the bunch.
I also like the Aramis Ademan Peaks of Potential, but did have this one in my collection from a Sportlots order.
The Adbert Alzolay Peaks of Potential is a new one, though.
