Awesome Oddballs in Monday's Mail

Daniel in Georgia sent a flat rate box filled with Cubs goodies. This is our third or fourth trade and he never disappoints. This one even came with a box topper!

That's a Beckett magazine featuring Ryne Sandberg on the cover, as well as some Sammy Sosa oddballs. These cards measure about 5x7 and they are Sportflics type cards that show Sosa in action when moved back and forth. It celebrates his 66th home run of the 1998 season.

Ian Happ and Kyle Schwarber relics were in here, also.

Some vintage 60's are represented by a 1966 Topps Billy Hoeft and 1969 Topps Billy Williams.

Two new Darwin Barney cards. I'm not sure what these Gypsy Queens are called. Its almost a framed card as the border is raised up and the image is set lower.

Crime Dog! What a card this 2001 Upper Deck Fred McGriff is. It's a gold glove edition. Great image and I love how the border to the right is a glove (for a gold glover). 

I'm sure I have this 1981 Topps Bobby Bonds, but it just looks so unfamiliar. Bonds didn't spend much time with the Cubs - just  45 games in the 1981 season.

Blue wave refractors are really cool. This Justin Steele is from 2014.

Here's a silver ice from 2018 Bowman Platinum of Thomas Hatch.

Powder blue and pinstripes are my favorite Cubs throwback jerseys.

Who is Roberto Rivera? I'm literally searching him on Baseball Reference right now. He only appeared in seven games for the Cubs coming in the 1995 season. That explains it.

Finally, my favorite cards of the bunch. Oddballs. I've actually looked for these a couple times. Starting Lineup talking baseball from 1988. Here's a Jerry Mumphrey and a Cubs lineup card. Very cool!
