Paganized
Trades have trickled in as I’ve been caught up with other things the past week. I had a package from Brett in Indiana waiting for me when I returned home from working the Illinois high school basketball state finals.
Then I was Paganized on Monday. I received a box of Cubs from Bill Pagan.
When you get a note like that, I’m intrigued. The Easter egg that he spoke of included an envelope containing a couple vintage Hall of Famers: 1967 Topps Fergie Jenkins and 1968 Topps Billy Williams.
There was also a 1974 Topps Bill Madlock Rookie Card.
Autographs! Always loved the 1982 Topps Cubs Future Stars card, and even moreso with a signature.
Another little Easter egg by Mr. Pagan was inside the box of 338 Cubs cards. Another Shawon Dunston autograph!
More vintage was inside including a 1964 Topps Cubs rookie stars of John Boccabella and Billy Cowan.
Speaking of rookies, check this out. A 1977 Topps Bruce Sutter rookie card.
This year’s Topps Heritage pays tribute to the 1970 Topps set, and here are some originals of Glenn Beckert and Bill Heath.
Next year’s Topps Heritage set will feature the black-bordered 1971 Topps set. Here are some originals of Jim Colborn, Tommy Davis, Jim Hickman and the Rookie Stars card of Jim Dunegan and Roe Skidmore.
This was an excellent Paganizing and I’ll be working on a return box to send to New York. You could call it a Thompsonizing, but that just sounds ridiculous.
