Weekend Wedding Bells Delayed This Mailday
A wedding this past weekend had me in the state of Illinois for the fourth time in the past five weeks. Congratulations to Kat and James, the wedding I attended in Downers Grove. It was a blast of a weekend!
When I returned home there were two packages on my doorstep. One was from Glen in Connecticut...my third #NAFTA trade package. First, I pulled out a couple Cubs 8x10 photos of Dwight Smith and Mitch Williams.
These fit well into my non-Cubs baseball card collection as I have gone to 8x10’s for autographs if I already have a signed baseball of a former or current player.
Some 2019 Topps Heritage was also in here including a Topps Scratch Off of Anthony Rizzo that I needed.
Starlin Castro is represented with two different bat relic cards.
Check this out! Jorge Soler 2015 Immaculate Collection Rookie Autograph numbered 12/99.
The second package came from Chris (@704SportsCards) in North Carolina. He sent me over 150 Cubs cards for the cost of shipping. The box included a mix of Stars like Ryne Sandberg, Greg Maddux, and Sammy Sosa.
Even some vintage going back to 1969 Topps cards of Rich Nye and the Rookie Stars card of Vic LaRose and Gary Ross. A couple 1973 Topps cards of Milt Pappas and manager Whitey Lockman, and some 1974 Topps: Jack Aker, Don Kessinger, Larry Gura, Horacio Pina, and George Mitterwald.
