Autographs, Relics, and Colors from New York

Tom in New York sent another awesome box of Cubs that arrived on Tuesday. For his Cubs-morning efforts I’ll eventually find some stuff for his PC - stamp and coin cards found in Topps Heritage.

Two mini cards grabbed my attention. One of Ernie Banks as a Negro Leaguer, and the other of “The Rifleman” Chuck Connors. These cards are from 2014 Panini Golden Age.

Holy Cow! You know someone who doesn’t get any hobby love? Harry Caray! Of course, not many broadcasters get hobby love, and Harry passed away twenty years ago. Still, he’s a legend and I wish there were more cards of him.

This is nice! Really, really nice! A 2015 Topps Gold Javier Baez rookie card. It is numbered 882/2015.

A couple Kris Bryant serial numbered cards including this 2019 Donruss Franchise Features numbered 209/999. Nick Senzel is on the other side of the card.

The second is a 2018 Panini Crusade numbered 140/149.

Willy C! Willson Contreras 2017 Bowman Platinum purple numbered 228/250.

Andrew Cashner was shipped to San Diego for Anthony Rizzo. Big fan of that trade! Here’s a Cashner 2011 Topps Finest green Refractor numbered 22/199.

The package included a stack of jersey relics like this 2008 Upper Deck Sweet Spot Alfonso Soriano.

And a 2010 Topps Derrek Lee.

I don’t have too many Kerry Wood autos or relics. Here’s one! This is from 2003 Playoff Absolute Memorabilia numbered 51/250.

This Aramis Ramirez jersey swatch has a blue pinstripe!

How about this relic with a blue pinstripe. Kris Bryant from 2018 Topps Heritage.

A bat relic from 2002 Topps Tools of the Trade of Moises Alou.

Even a couple autographs were included. Rob Zastryzny from 2013 Panini Prizm Draft Picks. His last name is pronounced, Zuh-strizz-nee. Or, just call him Rob Z.

Cubs prospect Jose Albertos here from 2018 Bowman’s Best...and it’s a Refractor.

Thanks so much, Tom. I promise I’ll get something to you!
