Monday Mailday With a Little Bit Of Everything

Sometimes I go a couple days without checking my PO Box. That was the case over a long weekend, and Monday I had four packages awaiting me.

Doug in Idaho sent a medium flat rate box that had a little bit of everything.

A couple of issues of Baseball Digest from the 1970’s captured my attention. I already have the August 1975 issue with Rick Monday on the cover, but my previous one has a mailing label on the cover and this one is clean. The August 1979 issue featured Bill Buckner on the cover in those awesome baby blue pinstripes.

Also inside a couple oddball Ryne Sandberg cards.

A couple new Sammy Sosa cards.

Recently I was critical of the revamped Topps Total product. Here’s a throwback to better days (in my opinion) of the product with a card of Kerry Wood.

In 2004, Bowman Heritage flashed back to the classic design from 1955 with the old console TV borders. Here’s a Derrek Lee and Jon Connolly.

More verticals. These are vintage from 1960 Topps: Moe Drabowsky, Bob Anderson, and Al Schroll.

Back to wood grain, here’s a 2018 Topps Gallery Javier Baez.

Robert in California sent a dozen Cubs including some 2019 Topps and 2019 Bowman.

Goalie in the Crease sent me a signed mystery baseball.

After reaching out to Twitter it was decided it was Andrew McCutchen. He also sent some Cubs in pages featuring a couple Rookie Stars cards of Joe Wallis and Dave Rosello.

Steve in Akron sent a box that had something new for my collection: Ernie Banks Hall of Fame postcards.

And some coins. These are Topps coins of Kris Bryant and Anthony Rizzo.

My first home run challenge card from 2019 Topps. It’s Anthony Rizzo and he’s been regular lately hitting the long balls. I just may have to scratch and play.

An autograph from 1999 Topps of pitcher Phillip Norton.

A great day of Cubs mail!
