Cubs Hall of Fame Rookie Cards in the Mailbox
Hall of Fame rookie cards were among the Cubs baseball cards that arrived Saturday. Thanks to Benjamin from @Card_Mosaics for about a dozen Cubs cards.
His package included a 1987 Donruss Rated Rookie Greg Maddux.
And a 1983 Fleer Ryne Sandberg rookie card.
I have never seen these cards before. It’s from 1994 Leaf. A Slideshow Insert featuring Sandberg from the May 1, 1993 game against the Cincinnati Reds.
That Sandberg was new to my collection, and so is this Maddux. No, it’s not a 1990 Bowman...rather a 1990 Bowman Tiffany!
Also inside was this sweet sticker of Nolan Ryan. It’s art of the 1976 Topps card. Very cool! The card portion peels off as a sticker. The white border you see is just the backing. Benjamin used Nolan Ryan baseball cards to create this. Wow!
Devin from Virginia sent a box of 75 Cubs cards. A couple of early Javier Baez cards including his 2015 Allen & Ginter rookie card.
This 2001 Topps Finest Fusion Sammy Sosa is new to my collection.
Another new add is a Kris Bryant Platinum Series card.
And I love this 100 Years of Wrigley Field Insert Set from 2016 Topps.
