Who Will Be Featured on the Next Bowman Chrome Cubs Talent Pipeline Card?
November began with a Mailday trifecta. Three packages came in the mail and they were filled with Cubs baseball cards.
Paul in New York sent some early Willson Contreras cards including a couple 2016 Bowman Platinum prospect cards, 2016 1st Bowman, and 2016 Topps Heritage High Number rookie card.
There are not too many Topps Hi-Tek in my collection so its always nice to see them pop up in trades. I have never bought any, nor collected them so the designs always throw me off. At any rate, I do know this Carl Edwards Jr. rookie card is numbered 32/99.
Topps Museum Collection is another product I don’t buy. This is a 2016 Museum Collection Addison Russell.
Bella sent a box of more than 300 Cubs cards. This will be our third trade. It was filled with some new additions to my collection. Right off the bat I pulled out a 2018 Bowman Chrome Draft cracked ice refractor of Aramis Ademan.
Another Bowman Chrome insert is the popular Talent Pipeline subset. The 2019 Cubs Talent Pipeline features Thomas Hatch, Adbert Alzolay, and Nico Hoerner. It's always fun trying to predict who will be featured in this set. For 2020, it's difficult to select a Cubs prospect from each level because most of them played in single-A in 2019. The Talent Pipeline cards typically select a player from single-A, double-A, and triple-A. There are not too many options from AA or AAA that have not already been featured on a previous card. My guess is Brennen Davis will be one of three Cubs that gets the nod. Who do you think makes the card?

A 2019 Topps Chrome refractor Kris Bryant.
Anthony Rizzo and Kyle Schwarber Opening Day blue foil parallels. These are about the only thing I like about the Opening Day product.
And a Jake Arrieta serial numbered card from 2016 Gypsy Queen. This is numbered 3/250.
Stuart in Bristol, Connecticut send a package of more than 30 Cubs cards. One of the cards is one of those interesting Upper Deck patches from the early 2000's. Sammy Sosa from 2003. These are super thick cards. I remember my first patch card similar to this was Corey Patterson.
Another new Sammy Sosa for my collection is from 1994 Holo View FX. Remember when holograms were all the rage in the early 1990's?
This is another new Sosa for me from 1997 Upper Deck.
