Cubs Autographs From Eagan

The Wednesday before Thanksgiving used to be known as Black Out Wednesday. I'm sure it still is for those in their younger years. My time has passed from hitting up the hometown bars during the holidays. Now, I stay at home, sort basell cards, and watch Christmas movies.

Home Alone was the title of choice and water was the drink of choice this year, though I did bow out after an hour to watch AEW wrestling. The cards I sorted came from Jeffrey in Eagan, Minnesota.

There was a nice little stash of autographs. Vance Law is an awesome through the mail (TTM) signer. Vance Law also reached out to me and contributed to the One Million Cubs Project. He sent me about a dozen signed Cubs baseball cards that he had lying around. I added three more Vance Law autographs thanks to Jeffrey.

Another fantastic signer is Shawon Dunston. I have heard that he is not signing much through the mail these days, but have not confirmed that myself. Three more Dunston autographs were added to my collection with this 1989 Donruss, 1990 Score, and 1991 O-Pee-Chee signed in blue sharpie.

I don't have many Manny Trillo autographs in my collection, but at least I have two more. A 1987 Donruss and 1989 Donruss were included.

The last autograph is a 1987 Topps Ron Cey. The 1987 Topps set is probably my favorite set of all-time to get autographs. Cey has an interesting signature. Take a look at how he ends his signature on the "Y" in Cey.

In all there were almost 250 Cubs baseball cards in this trade package, and I'll end the post with a card that really brings back some memories. It's the 1988 Fleer prospects card of Mark Grace and Darrin Jackson. This was such a hot card when I began my baseball card collecting in the late 1980's.
