Kris Bryant Topps Short Print and a Couple New Sammy Sosa Cards

About 600 baseball cards arrived in my latest mailday, but only half of that total are Chicago Cubs cards. The other half were Colorado Rockies baseball cards.

My trading buddy Matthew in Michigan sent over a box filled with Colorado Rockies cards along with a few Cubs cards. The Rockies are a team that I am always running out of and have a couple trade partners that take them. Both the Rockies and Nationals are teams that I am consistently looking to replenish, so trades welcome for those teams as well as Cubs.

The other package arrived from New York courtesy of Tim. As I flipped through some 2018 Topps one card really stood out. It's a Kris Bryant short print! Since I look at so many Topps cards each year I have been able to quickly recognize any short prints, which can be very helpful when digging through dime boxes at card shows.

Kris Bryant won the National League Rookie of the Year award in 2015. Bryant became the sixth Chicago Cub to win the award joining Billy Williams (1961), Ken Hubbs (1962), Kerry Wood (1998), Geovany Soto (2008), and this guy....Jerome Walton, who won the award in 1989.

Has anyone ever played the Topps Attax game? Apparently it's an online game based on the message on the back of the card instructing you to, "play Topps Attax online at www.toppstown.com." I never have, but maybe one of these days I'll check it out.

Purple border Topps cards don't often come in trade packages. This 2013 Topps Brett Jackson is from the purple Toys R Us set. Of course, Toys R Us is no longer open, Meijer packs now include the purple bordered cards.

Two cards I have never seen, and they are from the Sammy Sosa collection. These are from Pacific made in 1999 highlighting the great home run chase of 1998. I really dig the image of Sammy running in the outfield in front of the bleachers with the large sign reading, "21 Sammy You're the Man."
