Major Albert Almora and Dylan Cease Cubs Mailday

One of my frequent trading partners is @Yasharkbos on Twitter, who sends stacks of Cubs cards in return for some rookies and Bowman first cards. This mail day blew me away.

A medium flat rate box filled with Cubs baseball cards - more than 2,000 total. Many of them were Bowman cards, and that included one of my favorite former Cubs prospects: Dylan Cease. Unfortunately, the Cubs traded Cease to the Chicago White Sox (along with Eloy Jimenez) for Jose Quintana. It was a good trade them, and so far it is still looking good. However; Cease and Jimenez are still very young and this trade could wind up in the White Sox favor by a large margin. Only time will tell.

By the way, this mail day was filled with a total of 261 Dylan Cease baseball cards. Seventeen of them were the 2014 Bowman Draft 1st Bowman card.

But the volume winner in this package was Albert Almora, as this box was chock full of 417 Albert Almora baseball cards.

I mentioned Eloy Jimenez earlier, and there was even a 2014 Bowman Draft 1st Bowman Eloy in this box.

This 1997 Pinnacle Certified Kevin Orie card really caught my eye. As I perused the back of the card I find that it is serial numbered 2267/3999.

There were even some hits in this Cubs mail day. A Rafael Dolis 2013 Topps Chasing History autograph.

From 2011 Elite Extra Edition: Dillon Maples autograph numbered 29/564.

And probably my favorite card of the bunch: A Kerry Wood jersey relic. This card is from 2008 Topps and it's a white jersey patch with a blue pinstripe.

Thanks for an awesome Cubs mail day, @Yasharkbos! A return package is coming your way this week.
